What will you do?

You have a strong interest in cyber security and believe the following to be applicable to you?

As a Cloud Engineering Manager (m/w/d), As Cloud Engineering Manager you will work with our clients to enhance their cloud security posture. You will provide expert advice, design security strategies, and help implement cloud security solutions to protect their data, applications, and infrastructure within cloud environments. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, critical thinking, and team management:

  • Assess clients’ cloud environments and security measures, identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement;
  • Design and recommend cloud security architectures and strategies tailored to clients’ business needs and compliance requirements;
  • Guide clients in the selection and implementation of appropriate cloud security technologies and tools, such as IAM, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, end point protection, SIEM/SOAR, and XDR systems;
  • Assist in integrating security practices into clients’ DevOps pipelines and encourage the adoption of a security-first mindset;
  • Provide incident response support and expert guidance in the event of a security breach or other cybersecurity events in the cloud;
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and best practices;
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to clients regarding the state of their cloud security and recommend enhancements;
  • Stay engaged with the broader cloud security community to maintain a deep understanding of the evolving threat landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent;
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud security management with a focus on Azure and Microsoft 365. AWS knowledge is a plus;
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud-native security principles;
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to cloud security, such as GDPR, NIS2 and DORA;
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluent in both German and English;
